Mobile Mania

With the ever upgrading landscape of mobile devices, the quest for the best all-in-one device continues. The beauty of this battle are better and sharper cameras. The app friendly IPhone and BlackBerry Storm house excellent quality cameras for true on-the-go picture taking. In my opinion the IPhone camera takes beautiful images, but falls flat on low light pics with no flash (which the Storm has). Well the point to all this is, with higher resolution mobile picture taking you can get some truly impressive photos. For a photographer this is a beautiful thing. Say you don't have your multi-thousand dollar DSLR setup, what is one to do? Easy, if you have a smart phone or high end camera phone, you can just shoot away. This is a great way to capture a moment, remember an idea, or plan your next photoshoot. As always, just shoot. There is no wrong way to try. As the qualities get better and the apps become more powerful, mobile devices will be able to deliver amazingly high end results. Hell, I'm writing this blog sitting in a waiting room via my Storm.
