Friday’s at Whiskey Joe’s on the Causeway bring the heat with the latest Top 40, tasty drink specials, and the sexiest ladies from both sides of the bay. DJ Short-e, from Tampa Hotspots, presented a perfect venue for a sexy urban-styled fashion show, with performance space for Tampa’s hottestest upcoming MCees. Spent a few hours with the crew at Visual Alliance Media today, in their new offices (Downtown Tampa). The new spot is both cozy and a great location for productive meetings and creative brainstorming. I'm sure the LS/VAM collabo will create some excellent products and productions within these walls. We are happy to have captured some photos of their offices and some lifestyle working pics.

We had the pleasure of shooting one of our dear friends Karyn Glubis. One of Tampa's busiest socialites, high-end real estate agent and custom jewelry developer. This special, last minute shoot was to capture her beauty at the rockin' age of 40. Make-up & hair by Pretty by Pamela added to this quick shoot. We are happy to be acquainted with Karyn, and to have shared in her special day. From everyone at Lucky-Star Photo, we wish her the happiest 40th birthday.
I had a unique opportunity this morning to photograph a true inspiration for life. I was asked a few days back to document an interview with a recently released inmate of the Florida penal system. Mr. James (Jaime) Bain was set free after spending 35 years behind bars for a crime he was eventually exonerated of. Thanks to modern technology and a group of lawyers who believed his story, he is now a free man. Article writer Chris Olson interviewed Mr. Bain as he recalled his 35-year judicial journey. I captured moments of pain and hope on a simple piece of plastic he knows nothing about. The net, cell phones, and a digital cameras are still new to this soft-spoken man. What I and my assistant for the day (Freddy) gathered from this event was an overwhelming feeling of humbleness. This man who has every reason to hate his accusers, the legal system and basically life in general…. Doesn’t! He’s fine, he’s happy to be alive and to have had the truth finally received by the ones who held him away.
Shooting life is beautiful and I’d do it over and over again. Remember to smile, remember to believe and most of all remember to LIVE. Spread the word and spread the love…
